Aunt Bekah goes to College!

Well, the day finally came to take Aunt Bekah to college.  It is a good thing that Emma doesn't really know what that really means. She is going to miss her Aunt so much!  They have been the best of buds ever since little Emma entered our lives 2 years and 9 months ago! We may need to make a few more trips up to Calvin before Christmas break, just for Emma's sake :)
Emma and Grace were certainly troopers. They waited as patiently as you can expect two small children to wait as we moved in all of Bekah's stuff and watched her start to put it away.

We kept pointing out to Emma that "this bed is Mary's, and this bed is Bekah's", and then she would hop up on the fouton and say, "and this is Emma's bed!" And then she would proceed to tell me to leave the room.

Here is Bekah and her roommate. They have a very cozy little room. Brought back quite a few memories of moving in to Clark so many years ago :)  I think they are going to have an awesome year!

After they got their things moved in, Mary and Bekah went down to watch a Soccer game. So, my girls and I went for a stroll of the campus (secretly hoping that they would fall asleep). Grace gave in to her overly exhausted body, but Emma of course, just sat there and tried to strike up conversations with everyone we passed. LAter we met up again with everyone for a picnic on the lawn.

The Chronicles of the Popsicle!!!!
You could tell that she could not believe how big this popsicle was!
Needless to say, by the end there was a huge mess... but 1 happy girl as well!!!!!

Tackling Bekah, what a good sport!

I have no idea what Grace was trying to say, but apparently it was VERY important. She got very serious, and seemed to be scolding us for something.

So, then the girls and I were rolling around in the grass. Trying to keep Emma from making friends with EVERY person at the event. She is just WAY to social for a 2 year old!!!

She started taking all the tablecloths that she could find, and we wore them as capes.
It was a great trip. We will all miss our Bekah, but so happy for her new adventure.
After leaving campus we got to see some friends that live right down the street!  Mike and Amanda, thanks for letting us stay. It was great to see you one last time before your little addition arrives!  Just one more reason to make some more trips up to MI :)

Great to see a little Grand Rapids on your post! We loved seeing you and the girls too- and are looking forward to more visits!
